A dog-walker has received minor injuries, after what police are saying was a fail-to-stop collision in Abingdon.

It happened at around 5pm yesterday (6th November), when a woman in her sixties was walking her dog on Drayton Road at the junction of Caldecott Road.

She was involved in a collision with a small dark-coloured vehicle.

The driver failed to stop at the scene, and the victim sustained minor injuries.

The investigating officer PC Tim Cameron said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this collision, whereby a pedestrian has suffered minor injuries, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would ask anybody who was in the area to contact us if you saw anything or if you have any dash-cam footage which has captured the collision or the moments leading up to it.

“I would also appeal to the driver of the car to please contact us.

“You can make a report by calling 101 or online via our website, quoting reference number 43250567776.”
