Jeremy Clarkson reveals Diddly Squat Farm is 'devasted' by TB outbreak
The broadcaster today revealed that his farm in Oxfordshire has been hit with the disease
Broadcaster and farmer Jeremy Clarkson has revealed there's been a tuberculosis (TB) outbreak on his Diddly Squat Farm, prompting an outpouring of support from fans and fellow farmers online.
Clarkson today tweeted "Bad news from Diddly Squat. We’ve gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated."
The boardcaster turned farmer confirmed "The offending animal is pregnant with twins."
Clarkson responded to a message expressing concern for one of his cows, named Endgame.
“His test was ‘inconclusive’.
"I couldn’t bear it if we lost him,” Clarkson wrote, suggesting the animal may have been exposed to bovine TB—a highly infectious disease that can devastate livestock herds.
The news quickly triggered a wave of sympathy on social media, where fans and farmers alike shared their own stories of loss and concern for Clarkson and his animals.
One fan reacted with concern, asking, “Wait as in like... tuberculosis?” while others speculated that badgers, known carriers of the disease, may be involved. “Damn badgers again?” another wrote, referencing a long-standing concern in rural communities.
The emotional toll on farmers was also highlighted by one commenter who recalled losing over 100 chicks to predators in a single day. “Things like this are devastating to a farmer. Others have no idea how it hits us.”
Many fans reached out offering emotional support and asking how they could help. “Jeremy, is there anything I can do to help?” one asked. Others expressed sadness for Clarkson's situation, with one fan noting, “My daughter (your biggest fan) will be saddened to hear this.”
As Clarkson awaits further test results, supporters continue to rally around him online, hoping for a better outcome for Endgame and the rest of the Diddly Squat herd.
