An unexplained death in Oxford, has been deemed to not be suspicious.

On 6 December 2023, police received information that raised concerns and an investigation into the unexplained death was launched.

As part of the investigation, officers executed a warrant at an address in Ridgeway Road three days later and arrested a 65-year-old man from Oxford on suspicion of murder and causing or allowing death or serious injury to a vulnerable adult.

A Home Office post-mortem examination could not initially ascertain a cause of death for Janne and further investigation was required.

Following a thorough investigation, Janne’s death has been deemed unsuspicious and the suspect has been released with no further action.
