CPR given to dog after kitchen fire
The incident happened on Thursday
A dog had to be given CPR after a house fire in Witney.
Neighbours rescued the dog as fire crews got the blaze under control on Thursday afternoon in the Smith's estate area.
No one else was home at the time and Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue say it's believed to be by the dog accidentally turning on the hob where a chip pan unit was.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue stated: “We can happily say the dog is at the vets on oxygen and should recover.
“A breathing apparatus team extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and ventilated the property.
