Charlbury Beer Festival is underway, with the thirteenth World Aunt Sally Singles Championship.

It's a traditional Oxfordshire pub game dating back to the 17th Century which involves players throwing wooden sticks to knock-down a target.

This year will see Roger Goodall defending his title, the only ever triple World Champion, having won the title in 2015, 2017 and 2024.

The Charlbury Beer Festival attracts up to 3,000 people for a spectacular family day out.

Organiser of the festival, Nick Millea, said people travel from far and wide: "We did once have somebody from Germany play, but he was born in Charlbury and only moved to Germany two or three years ago.

"People come from all over the place and we often get visitors, particularly from the States, who come regularly because they just enjoy the event so much.

"Any money that we make goes straight back into good causes. Primarily locally, in and around Charlbury, so things like the community centre, the cricket club, the football club."
