Armed officers seen at property in Kidlington

Thames Valley police say there's "no threat to the wider public" following an incident involving armed officers in Kidlington on Friday (21st March).

They were called to a property on Bellenger Way at around midday.

A 52-year-old man from the village has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “We were called to a concern for safety in Bellenger Way, Kidlington yesterday (21st March) at around 11.46am.

“Our officers carried out an armed deployment outside a property.

“There is no threat to the wider public and a 52-year-old man from Kidlington was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

"He remains in custody.”
