Appeal for witnesses to Oxford assault

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault in Oxford.

Between 3.10pm and 3.15pm on Tuesday (25/11), the offender attempted to fight the victim, a man in his twenties, in South Park.

The offender punched the victim in the shoulder, before taking a knife out of the pocket of his jacket. The victim left the scene and was not injured.

The offender is described as a black man, aged approximately between 30 and 40 years old, around 6ft 2ins tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a light-coloured red jacket, dark bottoms, and a blue and orange bandana which covered his face up to his nose.

Investigating officer, PC Daniel Steere, based at Cowley police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.
