Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop road traffic collision in Wallingford, which has left a man with injuries.

Between 6am and 6.10am this morning, the man, aged in his seventies, was cycling on the A4130 near to Halifax Road, when he was involved in the collision with a white long wheel based van.

The man sustained minor injuries, including a laceration to the back of his head, which required hospital treatment.

The van had no sign writing on it and was clean, and described as possibly a Fiat Ducato.

The driver of the van did not stop at the scene.

Investigating officer PC Alex Manderson of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This collision occurred early this morning on the A4130.

“The cyclist sustained injuries, which thankfully were not serious, but he did require treatment in hospital.

“I am appealing to anybody who was driving on this stretch of road this morning and witnessed the incident, or who may have dash-cam footage, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police."
