Appeal for witnesses after incident outside Oxford nightclub
It happened last weekend
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of grievous bodily harm (GBH) in Oxford.
Between 2am and 2.30am on Saturday morning 5th Octover, three men approached two men and a woman who had just left the Bridge nightclub on Hythe Bridge Street.
They began punching one of the victims in the face repeatedly and then punched another male victim, knocking him unconscious.
The female victim was then grabbed by the throat, before she managed to run away in the direction of George Street.
One of the male victims suffered a serious facial injuries.
The two offenders are described as white men, aged in their early twenties.
One offender is around 5ft 10ins tall with dark brown eyes and a trimmed goatee style beard.
He spoke with a local Oxford accent and may have been wearing a beanie hat.
The second offender was slightly shorter, around 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall and may have been wearing a grey beanie hat and buttoned-up light coloured shirt or jumper.
Investigating officer PC William Matthews, based at Cowley police station, said:
“This was a violent assault, which appears to have been unprovoked.
“One of the three victims sustained serious facial fractures which will require surgery to rectify.
“The assault happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, but I believe there will have been witnesses to what happened."
