Appeal for witnesses after Banbury assault
It happened at People's Park
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Banbury.
Between 3.30am and 5.30am on Tuesday February 4th in People’s Park, the victim, a woman in her forties, was approached by two males who told her to come with them. One of the offenders then grabbed her arm, whilst the other punched her twice in the face.
They ran off in the direction of Banbury town centre.
The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The offenders are described as white males between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall. One was seen to be wearing dark blue or black-coloured jeans and a dark-coloured jacket and white trainers. The other owas seen to be wearing black jogging bottoms, a dark blue jacket and black trainers.
Investigating officer, PC Jonathan Wolverson, based at Banbury police station, said:
“I am appealing for any witnesses to this assault incident to please come forward.
“Anyone with information or footage relating to the incident should call 101."
