Appeal following fight in Abingdon

It happened in Hales Meadow car park over the weekend

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of affray in Abingdon.

At just before 12.30am on Saturday morning (12/7), in Hales Meadow car park, a number of young men were fighting each other.

A number of those present sustained minor injuries including cuts and bruises.

The offenders are all described as white young males, some of them topless and wearing shorts and trainers and all slim to average build.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident and have all been released under investigation while investigations continue.

Those arrested are a 19-year-old man from Milton, Abingdon, a 22-year-old man from Sutton Courtenay, a 20-year-old man from Sutton Courtenay and a 45-year-old man, also from Sutton Courtenay.

Investigating officer PC Dan Mitchell said: “This incident of violent disorder occurred just after midnight on Saturday morning, involving a number of young men.

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the incident, or who may have any information that may assist the investigation to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
