Appeal after sexual assault in Oxfordshire village

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault in Crowmarsh Gifford.

Sometime between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Saturday August 10th, a woman in her twenties was out on a walk with her baby along a path that runs parallel to the campsite of Bridge Villa on The Street.

A man followed her, approached her and then sexually assaulted her over clothing before running off.

The offender is described as white, aged 30-35, no taller than 5ft 8ins, of big build, with short dark brown hair

Detective Sergeant Isaac van den Eshof said:

“I understand incidents such as these can be concerning but we are investigating it as a priority.

“We also have an increased police presence in the area as a result so please speak to a uniformed officer if you have any concerns.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to this sexual assault to please come forward."
