Three men released after being questioned in connection with attempted murder of DCI Caldwell
Police have released three men who were being questioned in connection with the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell.
The senior PSNI detective was targeted in a gun attack in Omagh last year.
A PSNI statement said, “Three men arrested in connection with the investigation into the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell have now been released to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.”
“The men, aged 32, 48 and 49, were arrested under the Terrorism Act earlier today, Tuesday 26 March.”
“The investigation continues.”
