10 year old among three children arrested in connection with rioting in Londonderry

The disorder happened in the Nailors Row area of Derry last month

A 10 year old boy is among three children who've been arrested, and bailed, on suspicion of rioting in Londonderry.

The other two are 13 years old.

It follows searches in the city earlier in connection with disorder in the Nailors Row area last month.

Ten police officers were injured after being targeted with petrol bombs, fireworks, and stones on Saturday the 10th of August.

A PSNI statement said, “Police investigating disorder in the Nailors Row area of Derry/Londonderry on 10th August conducted searches in the city today, Thursday 5th September.”

“As part of the investigation into the disorder, which is being led by detectives from North West Criminal Investigation Division, four searches were conducted at addresses in the city-side. A number of items were seized.”

“Three boys - one aged 10 years old, and two boys, both aged 13, were arrested on offences including Riot. All three boys have been bailed.”

“The investigation continues.”
