Staff threatened at knifepoint in Lambeg robbery
There are no reports of any injuries
A man's being questioned after staff at a shop in Lambeg were threatened at knifepoint.
Police were called to a shop in the Queensway area around ten to five on Friday evening.
Staff were left shaken but uninjured.
Detective Sergeant Cargin said: “The suspects then left the scene on foot in the direction of a nearby train station.
“A short time later officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of aiding and abetting robbery.
“He remains in custody at this time as enquiries continue into the investigation.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information, or who saw the suspects to call police on 101, quoting reference number 1119 05/04/24.”
