Man due in court charged in connection with fatal hit and run in Co. Donegal
A 9 year old died after the collision in Bundoran
A man in his 20’s is due in court later this morning, charged in connection with a fatal hit and run in County Donegal.
9 year old Ronan Wilson from County Tyrone was killed in the collision in Bundoran on Saturday night.
A statement from Gardaí said, “Gardaí in Ballyshannon investigating the Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred in Bundoran, Co. Donegal on Saturday evening 23rd September, 2023 at 9.20p.m. approximately have charged the arrested man.”
“The man, aged in his 20s is due to appear before the District Court sitting at Carrick-on-Shannon on Tuesday morning 26th September, 2023 at 10.30a.m.”
“Investigations are ongoing.”
Meanwhile it’s been confirmed Ronan’s funeral will be held later this week.
A notice said, “Ronan’s remains will be reposing at his family home Tuesday from 2pm. Funeral from there on Thursday at 11:15am for 12:00 noon requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dunamore with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery”.
