Man to appear in court charged with drugs offences

A man is due in court on Saturday charged with drugs offences after almost two million pounds worth of suspected cocaine was seized in Omagh.

The value was initially estimated at £750,000 but further examination revealed the drugs were worth much more.

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force say the 38,-year-old suspect has been charged with possession of class A controlled drugs with intent to supply and importing a controlled drug.

He will appear in Dungannon Magistrates court on Saturday.
