Police have said the death of a child in Larne is not being treated as suspicious.
The news was described as a “trauma” for the local community after PSNI officers were called to a medical emergency in the Loran Avenue area of the town on Thursday afternoon.
The child was rushed to hospital, but passed away later at the Royal Victoria Children’s Hospital.
Police have said: 'A post-mortem has now been completed, the death is not being treated as suspicious. There will be no further comment from police on this matter.'
'The thoughts of the Police Service are with the family at this difficult time.'
