County Down householder held at knifepoint for over an hour

The occupant of a house in Downpatrick has been held at knifepoint for over an hour following an aggravated burglary.

It happened around half past 11 on Wednesday night on the Rathkeltair Road.

Two masked men forced him to hand over a large sum of cash before making off on foot in the direction of the town centre.

Police are appealing for information.
