Bessbrook: More than 60 firefighters tackle blaze at industrial estate

Fire crews have been battling a large fire at a business in Bessbrook since late last night.
At the height of the incident at Loughbrook Industrial Estate, more than 60 firefighters were involved in tackling the blaze.
A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Spokesperson said “NIFRS are currently dealing with a large fire at a commercial premises at Loughbrook Industrial Estate, Camlough Road. NIFRS have been in attendance since 0036hrs on Thursday 7th December, 2023.”
“At the height of the incident 60 firefighters attended along with 10 pumping appliances, 2 aerial appliances, 2 water tankers and a command support unit.”
“The incident is still ongoing and there may be some disruption to the local community in the Camlough Road area. Emergency Services are working as quickly as possible to extinguish the fire and make the scene safe”.
A PSNI spokesperson said, “Emergency services remain at the scene of a fire at commercial premises on the Camlough Road outside Bessbrook. The Camlough Road is open to traffic, however, delays can be expected”
