Yellow weather warning issued with Storm Kathleen this weekend
Strong winds are expected to hit NI 👇
Storm Kathleen has been named by Met Eireann and is forecast to bring strong winds to Ireland and much of the UK on Saturday.
A deep area of low pressure will bring a spell of very windy weather, gusts of 50mph are widely expected in western areas and exposed places could see 60-70mph.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Saturday (6th Apr) from 8am to 10pm across Northern Ireland.

Today: It will be cloudy with outbreaks of mainly light rain through the first part of this morning. Brightening up into the afternoon with just the odd shower in the south later. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Tonight: Some bright spells in the north at first this evening but heavy rain soon pushing northwards. This clearing during the early hours to leave some clear spells. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Friday: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times throughout the day. Mainly dry into the evening. Strong southerly winds but feeling milder. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Heavy rain at first on Saturday soon clearing to sunny spells and blustery showers. Strong winds continue Sunday with scattered showers. Winds easing Monday, further rain arriving into the afternoon.
