We’ve been hearing from winners at the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust awards.

The annual event held this month at Northampton’s Mercure recognises outstanding care and dedication.

NHFT's Chief Executive, Angela Hillery, and Chair, Crishni Waring, opened and closed the evening which celebrated its tenth year.

Angela Hillery said:

"I am so proud that we are, once again, able to honour the dedication of our Trust colleagues who have gone above and beyond to provide outstanding care to patients and supported colleagues. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees, and to everyone across NHFT who makes a positive difference to people's lives every day."

The Leadership Prize went to Alexis Berry, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, who paid tribute to her team:

"I've really enjoyed getting trainees on placement into our services, seeing them get qualified, joining our staff, seeing them achieve promotions and take on their own trainees.

"I really value that, and it really motivates me."

Steve Rigby, Advanced Physiotherapist, took the NHFT Wellbeing Ambassador Award:

"The overriding emotion is pride. Just knowing what you do makes a difference to colleagues as well as those in the community.

"A little bit of embarrassment on the night, and shock, but once that settled down I was incredibly grateful for the award."
