Update on Billing Aquadrome

A further update has been provided by council bosses after residents faced further flooding on Saturday.

Water levels have now receded with people able to return to their homes at the Northamptonshire site.

Around 60 residents stayed at sheltered venue at the weekend as emergency services worked with site management, local community volunteers including the Red Cross.

West Northamptonshire Council have vowed to always "step in to respond and support in incidents where people's welfae and wellbeing is at high risk."

Bosses do say, however, they want a long-term solution to address issues. They go on to add that they'll work with partners including the Environment Agency and set up a task group.
