The biggest inland waterways festival in the UK is taking place in Northamptonshire.

The 25th annual Crick Boat show at the Crick Marina on the Grand Union Canal near Daventry continues today and tomorrow (Sunday 25th May and Monday 26th May).

Thousands are expected to attend for the festival over the Late May Bank Holiday weekend.

Peter Johns, Crick Boat Show Director, said: "It's become the big single event that highlights the inland waterways, the canals and rivers of the country.

The whole point is that we give the breadth to give a good flavour of everything, if you like.

"So everything from the historic boats.

"They're are a sign of the old times which is really important to preserve.

"We do have a number of historic boats, boats that have been preserved from the days when the canals were working canals."

The show hosts a large display of new inland boats as well as equipment and materials from a range of exhibitors.
