Teenager charged following stabbing at Huddersfield bus station

A teenager has been charged with offending and another has been arrested following a stabbing incident at Huddersfield bus station.

The force said an investigation remains ongoing into an incident at the bus station on Upperhead Row, on 11 August, in which an 18-year-old man suffered injuries to his arm and chest.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

Following enquiries officers arrested two males, aged 17 and 18, on suspicion of Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm

The 17-year-old was release on police bailed pending further enquiries while 18-year-old was charged with the alleged offence

Levi Hyland, aged 18, of Samwell Lane, Northampton, was also charged with an offence of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He appeared before Leeds Magistrate’s Court today and was remanded in custody to appear before Leeds Crown Court on 17 September.
