Teenagers bailed over fire at Dunelm
One 13 year old has been released and two teenagers bailed after the blaze Saturday at Nene Valley Retail Park.
Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue say a small number of appliances remain on scene at the Nene Valley Retail Park in St James, Northampton following Saturday’s fire, as crews damp down hot spots.
Emergency services were called to the Dunelm store off Towcester Road just after 3pm.
Northamptonshire Police say three people were arrested on suspicion of arson a short time later - three boys aged 15, 14 and 13.
The 13-year-old boy has been released with no further action.
The two other boys have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detectives are still keen to speak to anyone who was in and around the retail park on Saturday afternoon and who may have information or witnessed anything suspicious.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Fire crews say the row of shops affected by the fire remains closed. A section of the car park has been closed off to allow crews and fire investigation officers easy access to the scene.
There is now very little smoke coming from the affected buildings, but if nearby residents and businesses do smell smoke, then do consider shutting windows and doors.
