Comic Con is making it's return to Northampton today, with superheroes and comic-lovers flocking to the event.

Bolt Event's are hosting the third annual Northampton Comic Con, filled with costume competitions, themes photo opportunities, gaming zones and more.

It's an event that aims to be fully inclusive, with a large number of provisions in place to make all who visit enjoy their time.

Zoe Croft is the Director of Bolt Events, who run Northampton Comic Con.

She said: "We make it inclusive by enabling most of the staff to be able to help with everybody, so that's from children to adults. We offer early entry to try and make things a little bit easier for people to come through the doors. If you need a hand during the day, we'll find a quiet place for you.

"We will basically do anything we can to make your day as easy as possible, and that doesn't have to be a disability that's recognised, that could just be that you are nervous about busy places, crowded places.

"We want it to be open for all, and it is actually what it says on the tin. We will do anything we possibly can to make sure you have a good time."

Each year, the infamous costume competition draws in Comic Con lovers, with Zoe explaining this year she expects to see many Fantastic Four's arriving at Benham Sports Centre's doors.

"Northampton seems to love Comic Cons. It's always been pretty much like that. It has increased over time. So we always keep an eye on our figures and if we need to do a staggered entry time we will do because obviously health and safety for the guys visiting is the most important thing.

2000 people are expected throughout the day.
