Women's Rugby World Cup trophy visits Northamptonshire

The Women's Rugby World Cup trophy is in Northamptonshire!

It's one of the stops on it's three week tour of the country, taking in venues for the summer tournament.

Today fans can see it in Northampton's Market Square from 9am - 3pm.

Yesterday it was at Moto GP at Silverstone.

MP for Daventry Stuart Andrew says fans seeing the trophy is amazing:

"These tournaments can often really help in engaging more people to take up the sport."

"It's not just of course your physical health but your mental health. And what's good is I think this the tour shows everyone is being invited to be a part of it."

The three-week national tour is marking 100 days to go and celebrating all eight host locations ahead of the big tournament this summer.

The Saints ground at Franklins Gardens in the town will host six matches during the summer tournament including England Samoa on Saturday 30 August.
