Police officers are appealing for anyone who has dash cam footage in a particular time period to come forward following a collision where a woman died on Rushmere Road Northampton.

The collision happened on Monday, September 23rd, sometime between 12.15pm and 1.50pm, when, for reasons not yet known, the woman's car, a red Fiat Panda travelling from the direction of the Barnes Meadow roundabout, went off the road and entered the River Nene.

Sadly, the driver – a 77-year-old woman – died at the scene after the vehicle became submerged in the water.

That stretch of road would have been very busy at that time of day and police officers say they would like to hear from anyone who drove through the area between 12.15pm and 1.50pm and has dash cam footage, to come forward.
