Preview screenings launch ahead of Northampton Film Festival
'The Creative Place' promises a sneak peek
A series of free screenings start today previewing Northampton Film Festival, which opens on March 7th.
The setting 'The Creative Place' on the town's Market Square is thought to be one of the world's smallest arts centres which covers just a few square metres.
Director Becky Carrier explains more about this year's event:
"We'll have an opening gala this year on March 7th at Delapre Abbey.
"The red carpet will be rolled out for a proper glitzy affair.
"Thereafter the following week sees lots of different movies being shown at all sorts of local locations like University of Northampton and Northampton Filmhouse.
"We're all very excited to be getting to host activities at Northampton Guildhall this year as well. Since the festival celebrates the town of Northampton, it's particularly poignant to be at that venue especially.
"The Creative Place, which is just 4 metres by 3 metres squared and referred to as one of the smallest arts centres, is situated on Northampton Market Place.
"That is hosting past films from the festival, which have been shown in previous years, as part of our preview warm ups throughout February.
"There's lots from around the county and indeed the whole country.
"It's proving busy but exciting in the build up to the 2025 Film Festival event."
