Witness appeal after serious crash in Higham Ferrers

A man and 10-year-old child have been seriously injured after car collides with parked vehicles on Russell Way.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Higham Ferrers that left two people injured.

At around 2.25pm on Saturday, August 30, the driver of a blue 1932 Ford Three Window Coupe collided with several parked vehicles on Russell Way.

The driver, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. A 10-year-old child who was a passenger in the vehicle also suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
