Police appeal launched after man died in a collision on the A5

Witnesses are being sought by police after a man died following an incident on the A5 Watling Street at Pattishall.

Shortly before 9.20am today (Monday, February 19), the driver of a white Volvo HGV, who was travelling southbound towards Towcester, collided with a pedestrian, near to the junction with Butchers Lane.

Police say a man in his 70s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash cam footage of the collision itself.
