Pedestrian seriously hurt in A4500 collision

It occurred on the westbound carriageway in Upton on Friday evening

A man has been seriously hurt after being hit by a car in Northampton.

The collision occurred on the westbound carriageway of the A4500 in Upton between the junctions with Badgers End at around 9:45pm.

Police say a black Honda Civic driven by a man in his 20s was involved.

The pedestrian was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious head and arm injuries.

Northamptonshire Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or had dashcam footage of either the car or pedestrian beforehand, to get in touch.
