Noah had his first taste of motorsport when he was just five. His dad had been a motocross free rider for years and soon introduced Noah to the sport. Noah was soon riding regularly, building jumps on his grandparents’ farm.

But shortly after the second Covid lockdown, Noah took on a shorter than usual jump, having stopped riding for a couple of months due to the pandemic.

He didn’t slow down enough for the shorter distance, overshot the jump and landed flat, breaking his back.

During his recovery he met Team BRIT GT4 driver Aaron Morgan, who has a similar injury, also sustained through motocross.

I'd only passed my driving test a couple months before I started racing for Team Brit.

He joined as a rookie in 2023 and competed in the Citroen C1 series, using our innovative hand control technology which enables him to drive without the use of his legs. In 2024 he will move up to the Britcar Trophy Championship, driving our BMW M240i alongside Asha Silva.

Noah tells us how he controls the adapted racing car:

"On the steering wheel, there's a paddle on the right and a paddle on the left and a paddle on the right accelerates car paddle on the left, brakes and on the face of the wheel. We've got two switches inside, which shift up a gear shift down a gear, and it's all sequential gearbox."

It's amazing. It's allowed me to get in a race car and compete like at a high level.

"It was a big learning curve but Team Brit was so happy with how I've driven."

Noah says even after his accident he was determined not to let him stop him enjoying his passion for racing. Noah even has a simulator at home to practice racing.

Today (Thursday 22nd February) Noah is heading out with a fellow Team Brit driver to the Portimao circuit in Portugal to train head of the season starting on 28th March in Donnington.
