Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service say they're investigating what started a blaze in the early hours yesterday (October 28) at a derelict building in Haselbech Road in Kelmarsh.

The road was closed while eight appliances were dealing with the fire at the height of the incident. Crews used water jets to bring the flames under control and stop it from spreading to adjacent properties.

Two fire engines, as well as the aerial appliance from Corby, remained there for most of the day monitoring hotspots and dampening the building down.

No casualties have been reported from the incident.

An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is already underway.
