We're hearing from a social enterprise hub in Northampton who've been telling us they want to see more measures for people struggling in the budget.

The Community Courtyard in the town runs projects including participating in the warm spaces initiative to help those most in need of help.

Amidst speculation about tax cuts rather than an increase in public spending, the organisation say that the cost of living crisis continues to have a wide ranging impact.

Director Stephen Stark:

"I think everybody's been struggling from what we've seen. It's not just in little pockets in society, like it was. You'll see it on the streets and written in people's faces."

He goes on to say that there's a limit to how much they're able to help numbers of people who are struggling without receiving further help themselves to cope with it all,

"The more families who are impacted, the more like us in the third sector who will need support. Essentially it's likely to come to a breaking point."
