Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a string of robberies in the Racecourse area of Northampton.

Between 3am and 5.30am yesterday (5 October), police received eight separate reports of people being approached and robbed by a group — or groups — of between three and six men.

Items stolen included e-scooters and bicycles.

The suspects are described as white men, aged between 18 and their early 20s, all dressed in dark or grey clothing and speaking English.

One suspect is said to be around 6ft 3in tall, with the others described as shorter.

Northamptonshire Police increased patrols in and around the Racecourse area throughout Sunday and into the night.

Officers are encouraging anyone with concerns to approach them directly.
