Northampton Film Festival set to be a celebration local and national film makers

Northampton Film Festival organisers say this years event will be a celebration of film makers across the town and country.

It takes place between Friday 8th March to Saturday 16th, at venues across Northampton including Cineworld, Northampton Filmhouse, Delapre Abbey, University of Northampton and Lings Forum Cinema at the Western Favell Centre.

Award-winners, new and established filmmakers will be in attendance, alongside local filmmakers as well as filmmakers from across the UK.

Organisers say there will be "a celebration of women in film", and Misfits and Mavericks category including dance, music videos and animations.

Becky Carrier is Festival Director:

"We're doing lots of work around getting people into film.

"The festival is a great way to show people what goes into making films, to meet film makers, Q&As.

"We've had more entries than ever before this year.

"Right from 16-and-unders making their first film, to people really established."
