Police appeal for information following fatal Northampton crash
A woman in her 80s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene afterwards
Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a fatal crash in Northampton.
Officers were alerted to an incident taking place on Talavera Way in the town at around 1:05pm on Friday afternoon (December 13th).
When responders arrived at the scene, they found a blue Ford EcoSport and a red Vauxhall Agila that had collided with each other - with both drivers requiring medical attention.
A passenger in the red Vauxhall - an 83-year-old woman - was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics who arrived on the scene shortly afterwards.
The driver of the Vauxhaull also sustained serious injuries in the incident and was taken to University Hospital Coventry to be treated.
Investigations into the collision are now underway and officers are now looking for anyone who may have been in the area to get in touch as soon as possible.
Those who may have been in the area at the time of the collision, or those who may have dashcam footage from the area around when the crash took place are being particularly welcomed.
