Middleton Cheney woman convicted over death following police investigation
It follows a court hearing
Following a police investigation, a woman has been convicted of manslaughter, following an incident in Banbury.
Lisa Davenport, aged 55, of Washle Drive, Middleton Cheney, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Barrie Davenport, at Oxford Crown Court today (November 21st).
88-year-old Barrie died at an assisted living complex in School Lane Banbury in 2022.
A murder investigation was launched shortly afterwards and Lisa Davenport was arrested.
She was charged with one count of the murder of Barrie Davenport.
Following the guilty plea this morning, the prosecution has accepted the alternative plea of manslaughter by diminished responsibility.
She will now be sentenced on February 7th.
