The trial of a 13-year-old girl accused of murder after the body of a Northamptonshire woman was found in a house will begin next week.

A pre-trial review held at Lincoln Crown Court on Thursday was told jury selection in the teenager's trial will take place on Monday, with Crown KC Samuel Skinner expected to open the case to jurors on Tuesday.

The defendant, who cannot be named because of her age and did not attend the pre-trial review, denies murdering Marta Bednarczyk, whose body was found at a property in Wellingborough on Monday March 10.

High Court Judge Mrs Justice Tipples will preside over the trial, which will sit at Lincoln Magistrates' Court and has a time estimate of up to three weeks.
