Inquest opens into death of Wellingborough woman in house fire

An inquest into the death of a woman who died in a fatal house fire in Wellingborough has opened.
Marta Bednarczyk was 43 when she died at the scene following the fire at the house at around 3:30am on March 10th.
In opening statements for the inquest, Bednarczyk - a mother of three - was described as a "lovely" woman by family and friends.
However, when she was discovered by emergency services following the fire, reports from the services found she had suffered stab wounds to her face, neck and back.
Emergency services, including Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and Northamptonshire Police were called to the scene, but were unable to resuscitate the victim.
Senior coroner Anne Pember opened the inquest into the death of Ms Bednarczyk at Northampton Coroner's Court on Thursday (April 10th).
Following the initial comments made about the case, Ms Pember adjourned the inquest until October 8 this year.
