Man seriously injured following collision on the A45

Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured on the A45 near Billing, Northampton.

It happened yesterday (18th October). A man in his 30s was driving a black Mazda 3 on the eastbound carriageway just after 11am, when the vehicle came to a stop and the driver ran across the road into the westbound carriageway, where he was in collision with a white Toyota Yaris.

As a result of the collision, the man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police were in attendance at the time of the collision and so a standard referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage that captured any part of the collision.
