Man appears in court over Daventry Molotov incident

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with throwing a Molotov cocktail.

Saul Terry, aged 57, was arrested by Northamptonshire Police after an incident in Daventry on Sunday, June 8, in which a burning missile was thrown at officers.

Terry, of Ladycroft, Daventry, appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 10, charged with one count of throwing/casting an explosive substance with intent to burn/maim/disfigure/disable/do grievous bodily harm, and one count of making threats to kill.

He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Northampton Crown Court on July 22.
