Labour taking over Northamptonshire following Sir Kier Starmer's victory
The only Labour MP in the county was Gen Kitchen prior to the general election, but it's a very different story this morning

It's been a historic night for Labour in Northamptonshire and across the UK- with Sir Keir Starmer's Party winning 5 seats in the county, at this General Election.
They won the contests in Kettering, Corby, Northampton North, Northampton South and retained there seat in Wellingborough.
In the 2019 general election, the Conservative Party held all seven seats- however, Labour were able to snap up one in a by-election held earlier this year in February.
Sarah Bool and Stuart Andrew retained South Northamptonshire and Daventry respectively. Both seats once held by Conservative Ministers under Rishi Sunak's Government. Andrea Leadsom in South Northamptonshire and Chris Heaton-Harris in Daventry.
