66-year-old Kettering man jailed for making indecent images of children
He breached the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order from a previous offence
A 66-year-old man from Kettering has been jailed for nearly two years after breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Andrew Pinney admitted failing to declare devices which were later found to contain indecent images of children and wiping software.
A Northamptonshire police spokesperson said "Andrew Pinney was issued with a SHPO in March 2022 following his conviction for making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of children.
"The SHPO was issued with certain conditions he was required to abide by including having to notify police if he bought any new electronic device capable of accessing the internet and to not use cleaning software on any device.
"However, on February 26 this year, Pinney was visited by police officers from Northamptonshire Police’s MOSOVO team, and inside his address they found two mobile phones and a laptop that he hadn’t declared.
"These items were seized and upon investigation, they were found to contain indecent images of children, inappropriate internet searches, and cleaning and wiping software.
"Pinney was arrested and subsequently charged with four counts of breaching his SHPO and one count of making indecent images."
He was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on 5th September to one year and 10 months in prison.
