Two men have been charged with the production of a controlled Class B drug - cannabis - after appearing in front of Northampton Magistrates' Court on Friday (May 24th).

Northamptonshire police are calling it a "cannabis factory".

37-year-old Elmaz Idriz and 27-year-old Fabrizio Zika were arrested in connection to more than 490 cannabis plants being found at a house in Headlands, Kettering on Thursday last week (May 23rd).

Police also found equipment associated with the production of the class B drug.

They will appear at Northampton Crown Court on June 21st.

Although Northamptonshire police are yet to release any other statistics, based off similar raids, the estimated street value of the plants is over £400,000.
