Man charged with murder of Kettering grandfather

A man has been charged in connection with the murder of 71-year-old - John Gerard Boyle.

John was found dead inside his flat in Leatherland Court, Kettering, at about 6.30pm on Saturday, November 8, after police officers were called to reports of a concern for welfare.

Now, John David Martin Mills, a white British man, aged 45, of Marriott Street, Northampton, has been charged with murder and theft of a motor vehicle in connection with the incident.

He will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court this morning (November 13).

Three others - a 42-year-old man, and two women aged 27 and 35, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
