A Northampton People's Postcode Lottery winner tells us how they plan to use their winnings to have the wedding reception of their dreams.

Ashli and Cory Wise won a share of a million pounds alongside 7 of their neighbours.

The couple have won £125,000 and two other couples who won are also planning to get married now thanks to the win.

39 year old Mum-of-three Ashli says she'll finally have the wedding celebration and honeymoon that her and husband Cory missed out on because of COVID:

"I think I'm going to get a seamstress to turn my wedding dress into more of an evening party dress, and have the party we never had. I love my dress, it was all glittery like a disco ball! And it's my 40th as well next year so we might make it a joint celebration."

Ashli said: "I'm so excited and just over the moon. We can have a real wedding reception, and we can take our children away on our honeymoon."

The couple, who wed in their back garden during the COVID pandemic in 2020, said they'll now have a full celebration.

Ashli said: "We got married on the first day that we were allowed to have 15 guests for a wedding, and we literally just had a tea party in our garden. And everyone had face masks on. Now we can actually have a wedding reception which will be lovely, and without having to save for years."

Former personal trainer Ashli now has her sights set on a family-friendly honeymoon to Cyprus.

She said: "I absolutely love Cyprus. Somewhere where the children can really make the most of the swimming pools and the beach."

32 year old Cory added: "We're a really easy-going family, so all-inclusive would be great."

Ashli tells us she's not seen the other winners again yet since the Peoples Postcode Lottery cameras arrived on their street dubbed 'Millionaire Street' after NN2 8RU in Northampton was announced as the winner on Saturday.

Since Ashli and Cory wed, their family has grown, and they plan to spend the biggest chunk of their bumper winnings on a new house for their three young girls.

Cory feels now their family has grown it might be time to move and says the win has been 'life changing'.
