Public can attend Northamptonshire Police Chief Constable hearing

The gross misconduct hearing takes place in Northampton over suspended Chief Constable Nick Adderley

A Gross Misconduct disciplinary hearing, is to be held into allegations surrounding suspended Northamptonshire Police Chief Constable Nick Adderley.

It will be chaired by Legally Qualified Chair Mr Callum Cowx, and will be held by Northamptonshire Police Fire and Crime Commissioner at the Northampton Saints ground between 28th and 30th May 2024, starting at 10 am.

The Chief Constable is the subject of the hearing.

Mr Adderley faces gross misconduct allegations to the effect that he has exaggerated the rank, duration and achievements in his service with the Royal Navy. And that he implied that he served in the Falklands War, in breach of several standards of professional behaviour.

Members of the public, wishing to attend, must register by the end of the day today (Thursday 23rd May) by emailing commissioner@northantspfcc.gov.uk, with the subject heading “Chief Constable Misconduct”.
